I love the Cancer zodiac sign. And not only because it’s SUMMER SOLSTICE!!

Without my Moon in Cancer (a water sign), I’d be just another analytical stubborn Aquarius, (air sign) aloof and in my head most of the time.

(Although when it comes to clothes, a Cancer person will wear their favorite outfit until it falls to pieces, so that’s kind of stubborn too.)

The Cancer influence in my Moon helps me to get in tune with my emotional side. 

My CARING side.

My intuitive side. 

My home and family side.

The glyph 69 is not actually the sexual position...it’s meant to be a symbol of the crab. 

More specifically, the clinging nature of this sign and the nurturing quality of the female breasts. 

In fact, many females with strong cancer influences in their charts have a generous bosom!

There’s a lot of emotions there. Lots of nurturing of family and home. Many Cancer people like to cook or bake. They’re very empathic and intuitive to the energies of a location and of the people. 

That’s probably why the crab has that hard shell. 

For defence and protection against negative energies. Much of their moodiness is not even their own accord! It’s influences from the energies around them. 

Disruptions at home aren’t good for a Cancer person. They need a stable, loving home life or trouble will ensue.

And what others see as “clutter”, Cancer clings onto it as essential to their feelings of security. 

Now that’s a life lesson for Cancer:

learning to be present, and letting go ...rather than clinging onto the past. 

Underneath that shell is a whole lot of stuff going on. They aren’t “showy” people or upfront. 

But they want to belong. They yearn for approval.

A Cancer person can feel insecure at times, but they can dodge bullets sideways just like a crab moves sideways around challenges. 

They are influenced by how they FEEL about something. 

When in a fight with their spouse, they need time to process their emotions and understand them. 

When vulnerable, they can become jealous and possessive, grabbing at whatever represents security.

They‘re good parents, but often over-protective and smothering.
